This vacuum is a little slower than the others, however it is still able to reach the majority of crevices and corners. It comes with a large dust bin which is ideal for reducing the frequency with which you need to empty it. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers which allow you to set the robot to avoid certain areas or to stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from becoming stuck.
Although it's not the most efficient model in its price range, it's better than many other options. This budget self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner does a good job on low-pile carpet and hard flooring. Its combo brush reaches into corners and edges and it automatically increases suction when it spots carpet. It also does a great job of cleaning dirt off mid-pile carpet. The IQ's tiny dock footprint and self-emptying feature are both nice features. However, if you wish to change the floor levels on the map or set no-go zones, you'll have to manually reset it in order to do so, which is a bit of a hassle.
The IQ's application has advanced mapping and automation capabilities however it doesn't have no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. Its smart-pathing system allows for superior maneuverability and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is very effective, although it can get stuck on the tassels of the rug.
During our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. shark i robot vacuum was able to remove the majority of hair on floors that were not bare and a good amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less efficient on shag carpets, which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was capable of maneuvering chair legs, tight spaces, and the wooden base of an IKEA step stool. We did notice it was a bit slower on floors with no flooring however it soon recovered speed and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on charge and is more capable of maneuvering itself around obstacles. It also comes with a mopping attachment that can deal with sticky messes. On the other side the iRobot is more durable and has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement, incurs lower recurring costs, and can create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning from the point it started, even if the battery runs out before it's finished. The iRobot can also be controlled using voice commands, which is a huge plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S from Eufy isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market but it does provide powerful cleaning capabilities at a low price. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. The robot can run for up to an hour and comes with an remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base and extra filters.
The 11S is slim and sleek with a tempered glass upper deck that is covered with plastic, which is finished to look like brushed aluminum. It's a nice change from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.
The eufy11S did well in our tests of removing larger debris and fine dust from floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean high-pile and medium-pile carpets. The device also has a tendency to smack into furniture and people in its path however, it's able detect obstacles with sensors. It ceases and emits a loud noise when it comes across an obstacle. Then, you can manually guide the device around it and return it to working.
Another excellent feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode that lets you set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match floor type and the amount of mess. The remote control makes it easy to direct the 11S to the desired place.
Single Room Mode is a great alternative if you have a small amount of furniture in the room you want to vacuum. The eufy is capable of spending up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.
Edge Cleaning is another option that limits the time spent on each surface to just 20 minutes. This will increase battery life. This option allows the eufy to move in a spiraling pattern, cleaning corners and edges.
Miele Complete C1
The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robot vacuum and a top performer on carpet. Its performance on bare floors is also impressive. It can remove small particles like rice easily, and it doesn't lose suction efficiency even as its dirt bin fills. Its air-sealed design and allergy-friendly design traps allergens and keep your family healthy. It uses an onboard HEPA filter and self-emptying dustbin, so you don't have to buy additional filters or a separate bag for your vacuum.
It's not as powerful as more expensive models, but it's ideal for fighting staining and deep cleaning.
